The CDC do state that 1/30,000 may experience adverse reactions of some form and that could be fever/hallucination etc..and that 1/100,000 may experience serious or life threatening adverse reactions (usually, but not always from undiagnosed pre-existing issues). The current mutation form of H1N1 has not proven to be a deadly as first thought( it was pretty bad , but it then mutated into a softer version as it spread) but when or if it mutates into H1N5( and genetic research and trend monitoring say it is just a matter of time) then the world will have some seriously huge issues. Immunisation of populations provides herd immunity and can provide protection by killing off the disease as it needs a large number of hosts to sustain itself.

In last 24 hours, an unknown virus (presumed pneumonic plague) infected another 37 thousand and killed 12 more people. The authorities deny that this is pneumonic plague, and insist that people die from influenza, pneumonia and ARI. Clinical Presentation of Plague

Plague Infection Incubation Period Signs and Symptoms Lethality
Pneumonic 2 to 4 days (range 1 to 6 days) after exposure The first signs are fever, cough, muscle aches, and headache, with progression to chest pain, difficulty breathing, and hemoptysis (coughing blood). Nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain might also occur. Pneumonic plague is highly lethal when untreated or when antibiotic treatment is started more than 24 hours after the onset of symptoms. Untreated, the fatality rate of pneumonic plague approaches 100%.
Bubonic 1 to 8 days following exposure to an infected animal or sustaining a flea bite Sudden onset of fever, chills, weakness, headache and buboes will occur, typically followed by nausea and vomiting. The bubo is an extremely painful bump resulting from a swollen, tender lymph node, usually in the groin, armpit, or neck. Without prompt treatment or if left untreated, bubonic plague has a fatality rate of 50% to 60%. Septicemic Untreated, bubonic or pneumonic plague may develop into septicemic infection 2 to 6 days after initial symptoms appear. Fever, chills, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Later, this infection may lead to coagulation problems and gangrene of the extremities. Without prompt treatment or if left untreated the fatality rate of septicemic plague approaches 100%.

Pneumonic plague – the result of Y. pestis infection of the lungs. Primary pneumonic plague would be the expected form of disease following an aerosol attack with Y. pestis. Secondary pneumonic plague may occur if bubonic or septicemic plague goes untreated and the plague bacteria are allowed to spread to the lungs.
Bubonic plague – the most common form of naturally occurring plague, typically acquired through the bite of an infected flea. Bubonic plague is characterized primarily by swollen, tender lymph nodes (called buboes).
Septicemic plague – the result of plague bacteria multiplying in the blood and disseminating throughout the body. Septicemic plague usually occurs as a result of untreated bubuonic or pneumonic plague.
Plague is recognized by public health experts as a re-emerging infectious disease. Worldwide incidence has reached approximately 2,000 to 3,000 reported cases each year, and the disease is endemic in rodent populations in much of Southern Asia, parts of Africa, and the Americas. According to the CDC, approximately 5 to 15 naturally occurring human cases of plague are reported in the United States each year, usually in rural areas of the Southwest (e.g. New Mexico, California, Colorado, and Texas). Advances in living conditions, public health, and antibiotic therapy make future natural plague pandemics improbable, but plague outbreaks following an attack with a biological weapon do pose a serious risk.

Plague as a Biological Weapon
Plague is currently considered to be one of the most serious bioterrorism threats to the human population. In the 1950s and 1960s, the U.S. and Soviet biological weapons programs developed techniques to aerosolize Y. pestis. Aerosol dissemination of bacteria would cause a primary pneumonic plague outbreak in the exposed population, an otherwise uncommon, highly lethal, and contagious form of plague.
Plague Map 2002 - 2005
The following factors contribute to concern over the use of plague as a biological weapon:

There is widespread availability of Y. pestis in microbe banks around the world
There is widespread natural availability of the Y. pestis bacteria in endemic areas
Reports indicate that techniques for mass production and aerosol dissemination of Y. pestis have been developed
The fatality rate of pneumonic plague in untreated cases is extremely high
Plague has the potential for secondary spread from person to person following an attack
Y. pestis can be disseminated in aerosol form with relative ease
Plague has a low infectious dose: based on animal data, estimates of infectivity via the respiratory route vary from 100 to 20,000 organisms
Antibiotic resistant strains of Y. pestis exist in nature.
A 1970 World Health Organization (WHO) assessment asserted that in a worst case scenario a dissemination of 50 kg of Y. pestis in an aerosol cloud over a city of 5 million might result in 150,000 cases of pneumonic plague. Of those, 80,000 to 100,000 cases would require hospitalization, and 36,000 victims would be expected to die. (See “The History of Bioterrorism: Plague,” a short video from the CDC.)

This is dose related, which means the higher the dose of vitamin D3 the better the protection. Fish oils (the best is Carlson’s Norwegian lemon flavored fish oil) also reduce immune overreaction. One teaspoon a day should be sufficient. For severe symptoms, one teaspoon twice a day.

I am pressed to understand where any of these buried comments become available to the general public or anyone else wishing to scrutinize the proceedings around the issue of due process by those elected in trust of the public affairs of Canada? Senator day claims that the content of the proposed bill will undergo scrutiny by the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology. I cannot say that with recent politics and economics on the global stage that I am comfortable with bureaucratic process. In the speech he refers to, Senator Day states on the underlying premise of this urgency, "The fundamental point is that this new scheme is much more invasive and intrusive than previous legislation and its ideology is vastly different. " and furthered by Senator Banks, "The questions that I have about the bill, some of which have been addressed by Senator Day, are not about the objects of the bill but, rather, about the processes that it proposes to attain those objects." I would like to see more attention placed on this issue of legality in Bill C-6. As I concluded to Senator Day, my question around Bill c-6 is who is behind such a plan and whom does it serve to implement such a proposal? Some of those recent witnesses appear to be either a decoy or a compass for such scrutiny. Where does the compass point? Look to the cause of the illness, not simply the nature of the symptom.

As a citizen of Canada I perceive that you do not have the best interests of the safety of our people in mind.

Please Stop Bill C-6 in its tracks now !!! until the above issues can be addressed in a lawful manner.

He ordered that the word “terrorism” be stricken from our discourse and replaced with the innocuous words “man made disasters.” He appointed a Homeland Security Chief who identified military veterans and abortion opponents as “dangers to the nation.” In a scary bid to increase the political power of the Democratic Party, Obama politicized the census by moving it out of the Department of Commerce and into the White House.

Whether or not there is a real Swine Flu pandemic raging, whether or not it may be real biowarfare, or mainly psyops being waged upon the unsuspecting world's public in combination with other fabricated global threats, I am saying 'NO' to Swine Flu Vaccination. All this heavy-handed hullaballoo appears to me to be yet another “war on terrorism” to fabricate a global pretext for quite a different agenda from the publicized one. The real agenda this time around being to inoculate the world public with something inimical in the guise of fighting the pandemic. This is more than simply an attempt to sell vaccines of dubious efficacy for hefty corporate profiteering. It suspiciously appears to be the new “imperial mobilization” of the long wished for population reduction agenda, 'to “prime” populations worldwide'. The threat of the A/H1N1 virus killing some (or many) people may well be real even if manufactured, just like 911 – the “new pearl harbor” – was a real demonstration of fabricated threat by controlled demolition which killed many thousand people. But under these dubious 'sky is falling' conditions made to “look like a great ‘booming, buzzing confusion’ to use William James’ famous description of reality,” the most rational and commonsensical course of action under conflicting claims of vaccine safety and efficacy backed by draconian 'police-state' policies to forcibly administer it: 1) take one's statistical chances with the “pandemic” rather than with its forced “cure”; 2) permit the human body's own natural defenses to fight the disease if infected, rather than be aided into oblivion by its purported helper, the vaccine!

The President has directed a study of the impact of world population growth on U.S. security and overseas interests. The study should look forward at least until the year 2000, and use several alternative reasonable projections of population growth.

In terms of each projection, the study should assess:

- the corresponding pace of development, especially in poorer
countries;

- the demand for US exports, especially of food, and the trade
problems the US may face arising from competition for re-
sources; and

- the likelihood that population growth or imbalances will
produce disruptive foreign policies and international
instability.

The study should focus on the international political and economic implications of population growth rather than its ecological, socio-logical or other aspects.

The study would then offer possible courses of action for the United States in dealing with population matters abroad, particularly in developing countries, with special attention to these questions:

- What, if any, new initiatives by the United States are needed
to focus international attention on the population problem?

- Can technological innovations or development reduce
growth or ameliorate its effects?

- Could the United States improve its assistance in the population
field and if so, in what form and through which agencies --
bilateral, multilateral, private?

The study should take into account the President's concern that population policy is a human concern intimately related to the dignity of the individual and the objective of the United States is to work closely with others, rather than seek to impose our views on others.

The President has directed that the study be accomplished by the NSC Under Secretaries Committee. The Chairman, Under Secretaries Committee, is requested to forward the study together with the
Committee's action recommendations no later than May 29,1974 for consideration by the President.

This device allows the following process: someone speaks into a microphone, the microphone then has the sounds coded into microwaves which are sent to the receiver in the brain and the receiver device will transform the microwaves back so that the person’s mind hears the original sounds. Many Americans are seeing their general freedoms as well as their health freedoms, disappearing. Interestingly, today on c-span, representative Virginia Foxx, a republican in North Carolina's 5th district, said that loss of freedom issues was the main concern being expressed by her constituents at this time.

People from all walks of life with vastly divergent backgrounds and concerns appear to be uniting and forming umbrellas of protecting and restoring the US Constitution. Such a legal team, along with "We The People", could identify the most noxious of these unconstitutional laws, rules, and regulations.

h) The MOST vaccinated children of US with 68 vaccines by age 18 years AREN’T the healthiest, but one of the sickest in the history of the world.
i) Unvaccinated children in communities like the Amish, and 35,000 children cared for by the Homefirst Health Services in Chicago & the Hopewood children of Australia (NSW) are among the healthiest in the world.
j) There is an unholy alliance between the pharmaceutical industries that produce vaccines, the Federal Agencies (FDA & CDC) that regulate vaccines & the doctors who give vaccines. (Employing foxes to guard the chicken coup).
k) In the US, a doctor from a vaccine factory can sit at the FDA advisory board to approve vaccines for mass use. The doctor is given a “Conflict of Interest Waiver” by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention).Since 1998, more than 800 such waivers had been issued.
l) It is illegal in USA to sue the doctor or the pharmaceutical company if a child succumbs to a vaccine adverse event, but you can go to the government for compensation. (It’s like claiming a new engine from the government if your Proton car engine blows up during the warranty period. Proton will never have to improve their product. Likewise there’s no urgency & need to improve the safety of vaccines.)
m) If a child becomes autistic or dies after vaccination, the standard brush-offs by pediatricians are “What a sad co-incidence?” or “It is genetic. It has nothing to do with vaccines”. (Real scientists will not conclude without investigation).
n) Medicine is proven for crisis intervention, medical emergencies, and surgeries, but its weakest area is in preventive medicine. Why has it become “experts” in protecting babies? USD 20 billion Dollar industry by year 2020!
o)Too many vaccinated children become sickly because their immune systems have been tampered with by vaccines. On November 11, 1918, the signing of the armistice put an end to the four years of savage conflict of the First World War. The firing of weapons gave way to weeping and grieving for the millions of war dead. Proud to be on the winning side, but keenly aware of the heavy price paid, the people of the allied countries opened their eyes to the appalling legacy of the Great War: mass death. Between 1914 and 1918, close to 8.5 million soldiers, including 60,000 from the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF), died in combat or from their wounds. During the war itself, soldiers were first honoured by their comrades on the front. Behind the front lines, isolated in no man’s land, simple, temporary wooden crosses marked the graves of those who had died in combat. Owing to the terrible extent of human losses, Canadian war cemeteries were established, starting in 1917, and maintained by the Imperial War Graves Commission (now the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC). But the bodies of 19,598 Canadians were never found; many of them had been torn to shreds by the waves of violent shelling the infantry faced. The names of most of those men are engraved on the base of the war memorial at Vimy. In France and Belgium, where Canadian soldiers distinguished themselves during the war, 13 memorials in all were erected between the wars. The main one, and the most imposing, is the one at Vimy, which was inaugurated in 1936, with Canadian veterans and King Edward VIII in attendance. Located at the site of the Canadian victory of April 9, 1917, it honours all Canadians who fell on the field of honour during the Great War. The Canadian soldiers of 1914–18 were also commemorated at home. Starting in November 1918, most Canadian municipalities signalled their intention to erect a monument in tribute to their dead, and to engrave on the marble, for posterity, the names of their citizens who died in the war. This lady further disclosed that she was working in the medical field. She had asked a lawyer who came to her as a patient, how it was possible to avoid being chipped. He told her that he was aware of the planned chipping of the population; in fact most upper class members of society were aware of this plan. For this year no forced vaccinations were planned but to rather encourage people through the media to volunteer for the jab. In case too few would come forward, forced vaccination was planned for next year. Exempt from those were certain professional groups like the police, medical personal, politicians etc. Being a lawyer, he knew ways for himself to avoid the jab, but for the majority of the population there was no escape.

By the River Piedra I sat down and wept. The winter air chills the tears on my cheeks, and my tears fall into the cold waters that course past me. Somewhere, this river joins another, then another, until—far from my heart and sight—all of them merge with the sea.

May my tears run just as far, that my love might never know that one day I cried for him. May my tears run just as far, that I might forget the River Piedra, the monastery, the church in the Pyrenees, the mists, and the paths we walked together.

We had been children together. Then he left, like so many young people who leave small towns. He said he was going to learn about the world, that his dreams lay beyond the fields of Soria.

Years passed with almost no news of him. Every now and then he would send me a letter, but he never returned to the paths and forests of our childhood.

When I finished school, I moved to Zaragoza, and there I found that he had been right. Soria was a small town, and as its only famous poet had said, roads are made to be traveled. I enrolled in the university and found a boyfriend. I began to study for a scholarship (I was working as a salesgirl to pay for my courses). But I lost the competition for the scholarship, and after that I left my boyfriend.

Then the letters from my childhood friend began to arrive more frequently—and I was envious of the stamps from so many different places. He seemed to know everything; he had sprouted wings, and now he roamed the world. Meanwhile, I was simply trying to put down roots.

Some of his letters, all mailed from the same place in France, spoke of God. In one, he wrote about wanting to enter a seminary and dedicate his life to prayer. I wrote him back, asking him to wait a bit, urging him to experience more of his freedom before committing himself to something so serious.

But after I reread my letter, I tore it up. Who was I to speak about freedom or commitment? Compared to him, I knew nothing about such things.

One day I learned that he had begun to give lectures. This surprised me; I thought he was too young to be able to teach anything to anyone. And then he wrote to me that he was going to speak to a small group in Madrid—and he asked me to come.

So I made the four-hour trip from Zaragoza to Madrid. I wanted to see him again; I wanted to hear his voice. I wanted to sit with him in a cafe‚ and remember the old days, when we had thought the world was far too large for anyone ever to know it truly.

Where Lies Our "Truehope?" ~ In the Hands of Incompetent Sickos

Health Canada subsequently took a number of actions to enforce Truehope to remove EMPowerplus from the market, which included the seizure of EMPowerplus at the Canadian border and instructing Canada Customs to turn away other shipments as they arrived. These enforcement actions created a literal panic for people who depended upon EMPowerplus and they reacted by doing everything they could. They wrote letters, protested, held news conferences, advertised their concerns and made repeated phone calls. Health Canada implemented counsellors to take note of the numerous calls from people who made it clear that their lives depended on EMPowerplus. The most troubling communications came from the Alberta Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. CMHA director Ron LaJeunesse publically warned Health Canada that its actions would lead to suicides and then later publically blamed Health Canada for the deaths of CMHA members...

Despite all the warnings to Health Canada that it was putting Canadians at risk, Health Canada did not relent. It pressed on, eventually charging Truehope in an effort to force the company to stop selling its supplement. However, Truehope was acquitted of these charges because the Court found that if the company had stopped selling EMPowerplus, deaths and hospitalizations would have occurred as a result. The Court further found it was necessary for Truehope to ignore Health Canada. Ironically, EMPowerplus is now licensed for sale in Canada...

At the time that Health Canada seized EMPowerplus, Truehope initiated a Federal Court action to have Health Canada’s seizure powers declared unconstitutional. Truehope’s basic premise is that the state cannot take away health products that Canadians rely upon, without taking into consideration the risk of removing the products and without giving Canadians the opportunity to be heard on the issue. This may seem like common sense, but Health Canada is vigorously trying to protect its seizure powers. This, in itself, is very instructive...

Interestingly, after the election, Bill C-52 was quietly re-introduced as Bill C-6 and has already been passed in the House of Commons. It is now in the Senate. Most Canadians are not even aware of Bill C-6 and the dangers it presents to some of our fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, Bill C-6 exempts Health Canada inspectors from the law of trespass. These inspectors can come onto your private property and remain there. You cannot make them leave. This is curious because if you instruct members of the regular police force to leave your property, they must do so, unless they have a warrant or there are special circumstances. The regular police force cannot search your property without a warrant...

Bill C-6 also allows Health Canada to seize, destroy and/or keep private property without court supervision. This is a move away from the rule of law and it presents a significant danger to our way of life. To appreciate the importance of this, it is necessary to understand why the rule of law is so fundamental. In the past, when rulers wanted to imprison or kill people, soldiers were sent to do the deed. When rulers wanted people’s property, soldiers took care of that as well. After a while, our ancestors decided they did not appreciate tyranny and fought for the rule of law, which simply means that the law is above everyone and it applies to everyone. No one is above the law, no one is exempted from the law, and no one can grant exemption to the application of the law, and there is an independent court between the state and the citizens. Under the rule of law, if the state wants to imprison you or seize your property, it can only do so with court supervision. The courts ensure that people can only be imprisoned or lose property, according to the law...

The importance of the rule of law should be immediately obvious. Without it, our freedom and our property are subject to the “good will” of the state. This is tyranny, whether we expect it to be benign or not. No good has ever come from citizens giving up the rule of law. Indeed, this is the most disconcerting development I have ever witnessed. The state is currently attempting to undermine the rule of law, which is the core philosophical underpinning of our freedoms. We are allowing this to happen because the state is telling Canadians it is necessary that it have these powers to protect our safety. It is time for us to consider the old adage that those who trade their freedom for security will have neither.

Reye's syndrome is a potentially fatal disease that causes numerous detrimental effects to many organs, especially the brain and liver, as well as causing hypoglycemia
Scientists of the St. Petersburg Research Institute for Influenza are warning everyone against treating or trying to prevent swine flu with aspirin, the combination is likely to send you into a coma. The St. Petersburg Research Institute for Influenza is currently testing a new vaccine against the A/H1N1 virus. During the tests, the medics came across the unusual aspirin findings, Life.ru website writes. Experiments revealed that as acetylsalicylic acid makes contact with the swine flu virus, it dramatically increases the risk of coma. "There are statistics that show how patients with swine flu who take aspirin have an increased risk of developing so-called Reye's syndrome," says Anna Saminina, head of the biotechnologies lab at the St. Petersburg Research Institute for Influenza. "In other words, the patient may fall into a coma and never wake up, as their brain and liver are gradually destroyed." While the mechanism of this effect is yet to be studied, the institute has issued a warning against take aspirin as treatment or a preventive measure for swine flu. "Use any other fever medication, but not aspirin," Saminina says, MosNews reports. There have always been warnings about giving children aspirin who have the flu. This expands the conerns about treatment methods for A/H1N1 virus. Reye's Syndrome, a deadly disease, strikes swiftly and can attack any child, teen, or adult without warning. All body organs are affected, with the liver and brain suffering most seriously. While the cause and cure remain unknown, research has established a link between Reye's Syndrome and the use of aspirin and other salicylate containing medications, over the counter products, and topical use products. Over the 2006-2008 period when the economy was growing well, before the recession set in, the best they could do was to contain spending to a 7% annual growth pace. In spite of their claims to be tough managers of program spending, there is a distinct lack of accomplishment on this score... Finance Minister Jim Flaherty’s rush delivery of an “Update of Economic and Fiscal Projections” on Thursday belatedly recognizing the government’s Budget 2009 plan to eliminate the deficit in 2013/14. The real hidden surprise in the update is that it failed to give any profile to the fact that the forecast reduction in the deficit benefits very significantly from a huge forecast surplus in Ottawa’s Employment Insurance system. The forecast total fiscal deficit, for example, falls from $27-billion in 2011/12 to $5-billion in 2014/15, a reduction of $22-billion. Where does this money come from? Employment Insurance premiums.

California is having the driest spring in 150 years, with regular water shortages in the long-term projections as a result of global warming. Already, on May 22, a wildfire started in the Santa Cruz Mountains, burning thousands of acres and destroying homes. That fire has yet to be contained. With wildfires starting this early, there is reason to fear this upcoming fire season in California. The Santa Cruz area has a Mediterranean climate. These climates are characterized by winter rainy seasons and dry summers. Places with Mediterranean climates around the world are facing dryer weather with more wildfires. This is also happening in Greece and Australia. Forests and chaparral are burning up as habitats are changing and adjacent deserts are expanding. The ice sheets in the arctic are disappearing at an ever increasing rate, and some of the latest predictions now project the potential of northern summer ice sheets completely disappearing within six years, bringing on the extinction of the polar bear and other species. As the white ice and snow disappears, dark ocean absorbs more of the sun’s heat, and escalates the rate of global warming even further. ust as big oil profits from the destruction of the planet, they are also a major influence in the drive for war against countries that have eliminated private ownership of oil wealth. U.S. intervention against the popular democratic governments of Venezuela and Bolivia is increasing because these countries have nationalized their energy industries and are using oil profits for things such as education and healthcare, instead of that money going directly into the pockets of multi-national oil corporations. Similarly, oil was nationalized under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein and oil revenues were used, in part, to benefit the Iraqi people. Now, under a U.S. imposed puppet government in Iraq, there have been attempts to privatize Iraqi oil fields, but resistance from Iraqi workers has so far prevented it. Once again, the drive for higher corporate oil profits is a destructive force for the world’s people and environment. While the United States government has no right to intervene in other countries to tell them what to do with their own resources, especially when those countries are making better use of resources than would be done in the hands of U.S. and British oil companies, the U.S. also has no right to destroy the entire planet for the profits of a few oil companies. This, combined with the overwhelming corrupting power big oil has on U.S. politics leads one who is interested in the future of this planet to one inevitable conclusion. The oil industries of the United States need to be nationalized under the democratic control of the people. While taking the profit out of war and environmental destruction through the nationalization of oil and other energy industries may sound logical to most people, inevitable questions naturally arise in people’s minds. A common myth promoted by those who have profits to gain through private ownership is that private ownership is more efficient. Yet an honest look shows public ownership is always better. A good example is socialized medicine in Europe, which is much cheaper and better than American healthcare, resulting in giving countries like France, Germany, and the United Kingdom longer life expectancies and lower infant mortalities than the United States. Ending capitalist profit, a form of theft to line the pockets of the wealthy in the first place, is just plain more efficient. Even public ownership of energy, on a small scale, isn’t without precedent in the United States. Electricity in Los Angeles is publicly owned. Because it is publicly owned, money isn’t being siphoned away in the form of profits going to shareholders and CEO’s. In addition, the bottom line is not the profits of shareholders and CEO’s. As a result, electricity is provided at rates much cheaper than in the rest of California, and it is done in a more environmentally friendly way. In fact, since electricity is publicly owned, people in LA were able to put an initiative on the ballot to shut down their nuclear power plants. The measure succeeded, and people in LA, while they are still forced to pay for the nuclear plants that were constructed and shut down, they still pay less for electricity due to the superior efficiency of ending corporate profit through public ownership.

I know this one is going to get some people's knickers in a knot. In fact it already has. Some science you're not allowed to hear about; Let's look at some facts:
1. Automobile emissions are noxious
2. Most industrial output it FAR far more toxic than it needs to be.

So what are the UN and the rest of the world's top-down opinion leaders focusing on?

A vague and scientifically suspect threat called "global warming." If you dare question the science of human-caused global warming, you're shouted down. Is the world getting warmer? Yes. Has it ever been this warm before? Yes, MUCH warmer and long before "carbon emissions." Should we clean up industrial pollution? Of course, but notice how the "global warming" hysterics conveniently let polluters off the hook. We know EXACTLY who is putting mercury and other dangerous toxins in our air, soil and food. We don't have to guess. We know exactly what companies are doing it and where their plants are located. So what do we do? We hold hands, sing Kumbaya, and make vague noises about the need to be "more green." This is a swindle if ever I saw one and looking at the smarmy self-righteous Al Gore being showered with Nobel Prizes and Oscars is practically all the proof I need that something is rotten in Denmark (and Greenland.) But there is far, far more proof than that.

I've got no doubt that manufacturers are pumping millions of tons of toxins into the environment, but I do doubt that the science "proves" that we are warming the planet. To me, "global warming" is a neat trick to shift people's attention from *specific* pollution problems - problems we can identify and address NOW - to a vague dread that can only be solved by following government dictates which include paying the oil companies more for our energy. The cost of "global warming" is passed on to citizens and the oil companies benefit (which is why they push it so hard.) Meanwhile, known polluters are allowed to continue with business as usual.

On Friday, the US Geological Survey put out a press release about its new findings on polar bears and their future, and the press responded en masse: Google offers hundreds of stories filed over the weekend. The reports’ conclusion (AP | New York Times) is that diminishing sea ice is a serious problem for the bears, with two thirds of them at risk over the next fifty years – maybe more if, as the report recognises, current estimates of ice loss are too conservative. Most quoted quote: "As the sea ice goes, so goes the polar bear" -- Steven Amstrup, the lead author of the new studies. Some bear populations, such as those of Alaska, are expected to die out completely, which is naturally enough the lead in the Anchorage Daily News. If you’re a polar bear, the place you want to be is what the USGS calls the “convergent ice ecoregion” (a term that doesn’t seem to turn up in the news); this is where the currents pile up ice that can persist for years on the northern shores of the Canadian islands and down the eastern side of Greenland. You don’t want to be west of Greenland or in Baffin Bay, where the ice is seasonal ice and likely to vanish, or on the north shores of Russia and Alaska, where the currents move what ice there is away from the shore (the “divergent ice ecoregion”).

A Voice of Reason!
Senator McCoy: Honourable senators, what has been said here today is one issue that crosses party lines. Senators can do the jobs that we do the best look at legislation and how it will benefit Canadians.
This is a case of legislation that will be very intrusive in corporate and individual lives in this country. I would have thought there would be no question particularly among our Conservative colleagues that we are extending government's reach way beyond anything we should be comfortable with.
On the other hand, yes, we believe in consumer product safety. However, what on earth are we imposing on the people of Canada with this kind of totalitarian tactic that is being endorsed and spread through this legislation into the tiniest corners of our lives? It even gives the minister and his or her officials the ability to take the word of a foreign government on which to base our decisions in Canada.
If China says a product is safe that could be the basis of our minister's decision. Is this the kind of country we want? I doubt it and I dare say that will be a common thread throughout the committee review of the legislation.
I went to the Food and Drugs Act to compare the empowerment, enforcement and inspection sections of that legislation with this proposed legislation. I thought if it were anywhere, the Food and Drugs Act would have stronger criminal and quasi-criminal powers. Food and drug inspectors have fewer powers than those proposed in Bill C-6. If that does not frighten us all, it should.
Sheila Weatherill has just concluded her independent review of our federal government's response to the listeriosis tragedy. Ms. Weatherill wrote 57 very detailed recommendations on how to improve performance in the future. Not one recommendation called for more legislation. She essentially said that our officials and our ministers have all the authority they need under the Food and Drugs Act, and in that case, under the Canada Health Act. All they needed was to perform their jobs properly. For that, they needed resources, training and the will to act with some compassion.
Time and again that is the issue. It is not the legislation; it is what we are doing in empowering our officials to behave and respond appropriately.
One last example I will give is the Navigable Waters Protection Act that we had before a Senate committee for study just before the summer break. We pointed out that it did not need legislative but cultural changes in the regulatory attitudes of that division of Transport Canada.
I received a long email this week with attachments making it even longer that documented a conversation of an Alberta contractor who had been asked by the Government of Alberta to do a minor repair to a bridge in the province. After talking to the federal inspector for over an hour, he learned that it will still take six months before they even determine whether they have jurisdiction. This is after we gave the inspector more power that the officials asked for in the legislation. It has not improved their performance.
I heartily endorse honourable senators on all sides of this house and the committee. I hope enough time is put aside and enough witnesses are called forward to decide how many totalitarian powers you want to give to officials to achieve a very worthy goal, which is consumer product safety in this case.

The reason provided was true, in a sense: they had steadfastly refused for more than three decades to subordinate themselves to corporate and government pressure to pass unsafe substances which were in direct contravention to Canada’s Foods and Drugs Act.

In 2008, again for the third time in 11 years over a million voters and concerned citizens of Canadians expressed serious concerns about Bill C-51/52 and were relieved to say goodbye to them with the calling of an election. But here we are in 2009 seeing Bill C-6 raising the same concerns. Bill C-6 gives absolute discretionary power to the Canadian Federal Health Minister to take whatever measures she feels necessary to stop the sale of an allegedly unsafe product.
Health Canada regulators have managed for over 14 years of well documented complaints to every Member of Parliament, the Senate and recorded testimony before numerous Parliament Committees and the various Party’s 1998 Standing Committee on Health’s Reports to evade being held accountable for their ongoing atrocious bias and prejudice to not synthetic drug Health Care approaches.
WHY WOULD WE WANT TO GIVE THE MINISTER AND THUS THESE ROGUE AND OUT OF CONTROL SO-CALLED “PUBLIC SERVANTS” MORE UNACCOUNTABLE IN THE SHADOWS POWER?
No one wants dangerous and harmful products available for sale that are truly unsafe. But there are already procedures in place to protect us without taking such a huge bite out of our personal freedoms.
The Minister may designate ANY individual as an “Inspector.” These individuals do not have to have any technical or medical or health knowledge of the products that they are given the power to confiscate. Their only qualification will be a Certificate as to their “designation” of inspector as attested to by the Minister.
Bill C-6 gives powers to these inspectors to stop the importation or sale of a product and to seize property and documents, based entirely on the inspectors’ “belief” that a product may be harmful. There is no requirement for the inspector to produce any documented proof or scientific evidence of harm, merely a “belief” of that harm -- not that they would understand it, anyway. Warrants seem to be required regarding seizures from personal dwellings but not commercial. This leaves small businesses open for random, unreasonable search and seizures at the whim of the inspectors and Minister.
Since January 1, 2009, there have been 4 raids with guns and seizures that we are aware of, conducted by Health Canada and the RCMP attacking sincere and dedicated small family enterprises that successfully prevent, treat and even cure in some cases most chronic health challenges.

With Bill C-6 there would be no court hearing with the accused present; there is no requirement for notice that they are under investigation. They will be required to pay for the removal and storage of their property, once a seizure has been initiated, and even if a person does their “due diligence” to prevent the violation, this CANNOT be used in their defence.
Fines could be exorbitant; up to $5,000,000 and/or imprisonment for 2 years. All that a person would have to do to commit a “violation” would be to contravene a bureaucratic “order”. It does not matter if the violation was unintentional, if no one was harmed, if there was no intention to harm, if there was no victim and no crime!
Bill C-6 allows the Health Minister to dispose of the materials seized by whatever means the Minister chooses. The implications point to the annihilation of business and business owner.
There is no evidence on record that Natural Health Products, more correctly called “Dietary Food Supplements” the same as the US Legislative definition, properly administered and used as directed has ever caused serious side effects or anything as serious as death [See Chart below]. They should not be regulated in the same way that even over-the-counter drugs are regulated. These substances, even properly prescribed and used as directed have, on record, since introduction on the market caused serious, life-altering side effects and even DEATH.
Another very major issue given the total lack of trust that millions of Canadian have since the 1997 “Our Healthy Foods Are not Drugs” protests and legal action and the extensive 1998 Standing Committee on Health Hearings is that federal politicians and bureaucrats working solely in the interests of BIG PHARMA will deny that Bill C-6 is directed at NHPs.
This argument has several flaws including the simple legal definition problem that legislatively in Canada and the USA and elsewhere in the world there is no such defined term as “Natural Health Product”.
In 1994 the USA under the same type of overwhelming grassroots protests created the “Dietary Health Supplements Education Act” [DSHEA] which has largely successfully solved the century old issue of the federal regulatory line between “Foods”, “Dietary Food Supplements” and “Chemical Drugs” in medicinal applications.
Another flaw is that Section 4. (1) states "This Act applies to consumer products with the exception of those listed in Schedule 1."
Schedule 1 of the Bill includes in its list "Drugs within the meaning of Section 2 of the Food and Drugs Act." Natural Health Products are "drugs" under the Food and Drugs Act and consequently are currently exempted from the application of Bill C-6.
Section 36(1) (c) of the Bill allows the Government to amend Schedule 1 to make Bill C-6 apply to drugs (which includes NHPs) by passing a regulation.
In addition Bills C-6, C-51 and C-52 all presuppose that their s federal jurisdiction and that the January 1st 2004 Natural Health Products drug class change is legal and will stay in place.
We want Parliament making Public Interest laws by openly debated legislation – not by stealth via bureaucratically created regulations similar to the style of government used in the Roman Empire long ago.
We want the power of in us the People. We own the State and its agents and servants are our “Employees”.
BIG PHARMA and other MEGA BUSINESSES should not and cannot be allowed to continue putting “THEIR” Profit needs ahead of the PEOPLE’S needs!
There is one final dark aspect to this proposed bill and it is the proposed “harmonization” clause under “Section 36 (4) A regulation made under this Act may incorporate by reference documents that the Minister produces jointly with another government for the purpose of harmonizing the regulation with other laws.”
The proposed legislated “allegiance to a government of a foreign state” or “an international organization of states” is completely unacceptable to an average Canadian. It threatens our sovereignty as a nation; giving authority to foreign powers to enforce laws that we Canadians have no knowledge or say in.
We believe that the well-funded and profit-driven drug corporations have managed to all but remove from us our freedom of choice in how we protect our health. We believe that the evidence has long been “in.” We believe that the mega drug companies have little to offer that will promote “health.” We believe these corporations are in business for one purpose only, and that is PROFIT. We believe that you, our servants, those who hold office in our government, are allowing your good conscience to be swayed by these corporations. We believe that you are about to vote for legislation that you KNOW not only keeps historically proven safe products out of the hands of their employers; that is, we the people, but puts in serious jeopardy the health and well-being of our entire land for a very long time to come.
We call on you, and hold you responsible, to not give our sovereignty away under the guise of “harmonization.”
Please, let us ALL do due diligence to lovingly care for a beautiful country and society. We urge you as our representatives and servants to vote this dangerous piece of legislation out of existence. Do not continue to put “PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE’S GOOD HEALTH” and be the only motivation in our nation’s health care. You can and must make a difference for the future of not only our families, but yours as well.
You must break rank with your Party Whip System and start focussing on truly representing the majority wishes of your constituents. To continue to do otherwise destroys the very Civilized Foundations of our Democratic Rule of Law Society.
If you cannot freely vote as the majority of your constituents want why would we want to pay for you to be in Parliaments to begin with?
Health care is the number one priority for millions of Canadians and the solution is in a level and equal playing field for Traditional Holistic Health Care approaches.
Please read between the lines on this bill and STOP Bill C-6 now and the soon expected Bill C-51 reworked and renamed Bill and help us cancel the Natural Health Product Regulations and return our Dietary Food Supplements to their lawful current legislative status as Healthy Foods under the current Foods and Drug Act.
No regulation should be allowed to exceed its legislative authority and to change by regulation what has not been done in the open in Parliament by legislation.

The State of Maryland has now turned to Gestapo tactics to force its medical will upon the People, stripping parents of any right to decide how they wish to protect their own children from infectious disease.

Health authorities in Maryland there have already announced their intent to essentially kidnap parents and throw them in jail, removing them from their children for up to thirty days if they continue to refuse to have their children vaccinated.

This will all be conducted at gunpoint, with armed personnel and attack dogs at the ready, making sure nobody steps out of line, and suppressing any attempt at public dissent against the Orwellian vaccination policies.

The entire campaign against these parents is blatantly illegal. There is no law in Maryland requiring the vaccination of children, thus parents who refuse to do so may not be legally charged with violating any law.
